Finally got this bastard splinter out of DH’s thumb today!!! So satisfying! Been in there 4 months although we weren’t sure anything was left in there at all. So happy!

Honestly I wish I had a video but the kids were in the bath and it was all happening at once!
DH was putting a stake in the ground and it broke and stabbed his hand. He’s had this purple lump at the base of his thumb ever since and it was very non-productive and disappointing. We have been prodding it ever since and today it finally looked juicy. I squeezed it and the point popped out!! So exciting! Then I grabbed the tweezers and pulled it out and we were amazed by how big it was!! It came out point/thin end first which I guess makes sense but it was so big. Thick too. Wheeee!
