I’ve never posted here before, but spotted the board on a browse.
Something so absolutely disgusting happened to me today, and I can never tell anyone in real life, but I thought you might like it!
A couple of days ago, I noticed my tummy button was sore. I had an exploratory poke around and decided it was definitely a surface skin soreness, not muscular or internal. I thought about an infection, but I’ve never had anything like that before, and there was no sign of any redness or rash or discharge or anything.
I had to go to the doc this morning anyway on something else, so whilst I was there, I asked her to take a look. She said there was an infection right inside (fat stomach and deep belly button not a good combination 
) and gave me some cream to insert on a cotton bud.
I did the first application and went to work. A few hours later I went to wash it and to do the second.
An absolute tsunami of thick, brown, pungent pus oozed out of it as soon as I inserted the cotton bud. I’ve never seen anything like it, it was like some sort of alien! 
(NOT envy). I was horrified and awestruck by what had just come out of me.
Third application was much less dramatic and it is still tender but much less sore, so hopefully it won’t happen again. But I was so traumatised that I felt the need to talk about it, and I thought you might be just the people to understand
