I can't wait

Poppins2016 · 04/02/2021 14:01

Cysts can do that... keep an eye on it and monitor how you're feeling. A friend had a similar experience and actually ended up getting sepsis and having surgery to remove the cyst/infection/etc.

I'd have used a hot flannel and a sterilised needle by now

A pharmacist could probably advise you on the best course of action.

Gliblet · 04/02/2021 14:02

If it keeps refilling and bursting then you need a dermatologist to properly get shot of it - as long as the sac is there it'll be the gift that keeps on giving...

MildlyIrritatedOfChorley · 04/02/2021 14:08

Pull the skin instead of squeezing. Grab a fold of skin either side and give a sharp tug. It will go splat and you will feel so much better.

Video it obvs.

Oh hello DING DING DING.

Please don't take no sharp knife to it, goodness me!

Agree stretching the skin by a good old yank should pop it.

Moving forwards - this kind of thing isn't usually fixable on the NHS (often classed as cosmetic) soooo ask GP for a ref to a dermatology clinic, see what they say. You might find that your local Spire or Nuffield type of private clinic will remove it properly for you, for a fee.

Bookwords · 04/02/2021 20:18

Please please video it's demise!

3rdNamechange · 05/02/2021 16:06

About £400 to have the cyst removed privately. Or I'll do it Smile

Minky37 · 05/02/2021 20:11

I’ve snipped massive spots with sterilised sharp nail scissors before .... just sayin!
You need to come back and show us the results though.

Checking in for the gore and am disappointed. Come on Op! Grin

pooopypants · 08/02/2021 13:49

If you're in the North OP, I'm your woman. I have a gazillion pins, fear not.

captainpantbeard · 18/02/2021 07:22

Are you ok, OP?

And by that I mean can you come back and describe the popping!

feelingsadtoday2021 · 18/02/2021 20:41

I wish for an update as well

That looks EPIC

TripleSeptic · 18/02/2021 20:48

Where do you live? I'd call that reason for an essential journey 😂😂

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/02/2021 20:55

Now I like a good sporn pic as much as the next person but that needs professional advice and treatment.

It's overlying the soft tissues of the throat. Any infection that gets into the tissues (cellulitis) could cause inward swelling that constricts the breathing passages.

I hope OP has been treated and is feeling better.

Hoppinggreen · 19/02/2021 19:07

Don’t squeeze, press.
Stretch the skin to either side and press down. Less painful and less likely to damage the skin

moanieleminx · 22/02/2021 23:56

What happened???

Docketpuo · 24/02/2021 00:30

Update OP? Don't tease us like this!

Seriously, hope you're ok.
