Is this a verruca or a corn/callus?

I have had this and an identical one on other foot for about 2 years. Had thought it was a verruca and was treating as such (on and off!) But now I'm starting to wonder if it is a corn or callus. I first noticed them after moving house and finding that my feet were hurting walking on the hard floors and also in some sandals that I wore throughout the summer which had quite hard flat leather soles to them. Does anyone know if it is a verruca or a corn/callus and how should I treat??

That looks like a corn.

Here you go, give it a squeeze and see if it hurts!

Yes I saw that on my search for answers...not sure that it does hurt

So if this is a corn can anyone tell me how they successfully got rid?

Corns - see a Podiatrist/chiropodist. I had been having treatment for plantar warts for about five years until my new GP said she didn't like dealing with them and to see a chiropodist. The chiropodist said they weren't plantar warts, but corns. There was a clutch of about 8 to 10 corns on the ball of each foot, all covered by the same lump of proud flesh.

He used a scalpel to cut away the proud flesh and then picked out the eyes of the corns. When he finished it was absolute bliss. I walked out of there like I was walking on a cloud. There was no pain while he was doing it and I felt none afterwards.

I had to have this procedure repeated about every six months for about four years. Each time the coins were less intrusive, until finally they had gone. That was probably two decades ago and I've had no trouble with them since.

I can't recommend it to highly.

Thanks @Tezza1 I will look into seeing a chiropodist once lockdown is over. I'm so tempted to have a good scrape myself but guess I should leave it!!

pods are still open now. no need to suffer!

its callus/possibly corns underneath, but a scrape of that skin will reveal. Home remedies sometimes just prolong the pain!
