Verruca help!

Dd has had this verruca for a few months, tonight I’ve pulled out this huge and fairly deep root, but there are still it’s little ones on the same lump.
I’ve been applying the acid stuff nightly but it just creates a build up (although it did work for my other Dc last year) I can’t file it as she won’t let me anywhere near it, she is a light sleeper and flinches if I even touch it lightly, I only managed to pull that as I caught it with tweezers quickly.

Any stealthy advice for getting rid would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve tried Apple cider vinegar every night for a week but didn’t make any difference.

Sorry the pics aren’t very good as my camera won’t focus in the dark room

How old is Dd? If older than 4 then you really need to file too. If younger....just leave it alone to see if it goes in its own time. That's the doctors advice these days.
We ended up getting my son's treated professionally when he was 11 after 5 years of struggles, attempts, leaving etc....he got very self conscious about it. It was expensive but worth it.

She’s 4, I have tried to file while she’s asleep but she flinches and then wakes.
She won’t even let me touch it to put a plaster over it when she’s awake without screaming and crying so I have no chance of filing it then.
The build up does come away after a while (which is what happened with my older dc, I didn’t know then about filing it down, although theirs only lasted a few months and the whole thing came up when the build up pulled off)

My kids got rid of theirs using banana peel. They thought it was funny and put some peel on each night held in place with a plaster. Verruca went black and dropped off after a week or so. They were older though at about 7 and 10

When dd had verrucas we did Bazzuca and then out a plaster on top, the little circular ones. Then, we put socks on her feet. Mainly so she wouldn’t peel the plasters off and to also suffocate the verruca.

only did you just use a bit of banana peel about the same size as the verruca?

Just leave it to work it out on its own. DD 6/7 had several on one foot this year. We just made her wear a sock on that foot constantly. We set aside specific socks for her to wear on that foot to prevent cross contamination and also washed them separately to prevent it spreading. We have another DD who normally shares socks which is why we were so strict. We kept it clean and sterile, spraying Milton in it to kill and bugs. They all eventually disappeared, took about 6 months in total

Black nail varnish was what finally took care of my dd's verucca. Apparently it stops all light and air getting in and it dies. Was gone quickly

Honestly, go to see a podiatrist/chiropodist. Mine spent ten months this year getting rid of a verruca I've had for almost a decade. He was telling me that any over the counter / home remedies have about a 10% chance of working. Before going to him I had tried everything - duct tape, nail varnish, cider vinegar, filing, bazuca and all the others, hacking it out with a scalpel. Nothing worked. It took 9 sessions with a Swift machine (microwave) to get rid of mine when it's only meant to take three. Lucky for me it coincided with lockdown & he was bored, plus he essentially entered into a grudge match with my foot and refused to back down. Verrucas are bastards.

@Fattoushka

Yes. A square of peel to cover it. The inside of the peel facing the verruca.
