Excuse the milky white thigh.

Appeared last night as just the centre and has since had the red spread. Drew pen around it roughly midnight and it has spread a bit. Notice the red line as well coming from it? It's rock hard inside the circle as well, hurts like hell.

Is it a boil? Should I poke around it with some tweezers to see if it's a blocked hair pore?

I have no idea what it could be...but I wouldn't have enough restraint not to play with it! I don't know how you've managed so far! It's gorgeous 😂

The red line looks a bit worrying, I’d get it looked at.

If it is spreading, I would go to the gp. You may need a steroid cream.

My first thought was sting/bite.

It’s infected- the line is bacterial infection tracking along a blood vessel. Needs antibiotics.

P.s I probably would have a poke if it was me!!

I've given it a bit of a squeeze to see if it'd pop.

Currently on night shift, will take an antihistamine when I get home. If it's still bad when I wake from a few hours kip I'll phone the doctor.

Infected you say? Might have to give the doctors a phone when I get gone then. Currently on immunosuppressants so probably for the best to get it checked then.

That line and the spread sound a bit concerning. I’d send that photo and description to your GP for their opinion. Much as I love sporn, cellulitis is not to be messed with.

My BB immediate thought is the red line is often an indication that infection is spreading away from the original site and needs checking out by a Dr in case you need antibiotics. Even more so given you’ve drawn round it and it’s spread.

Ignore the BB I’ve no idea where it came from - my phone has a mind of its own 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Went to the doctors, said to keep an eye on as didn't seem infected. Woke this morning and it was double in size, so went to the walk in centre. They said it looks ok, just an insect bite and no signs of infection. Just keeping an eye on it.
