11 year old has always got lots of wax.

Do they ever have a bath or just shower?
DS has the occasional bath & washes hair under the water. It results in the wax melting & floating out of the ear canal to the very edge where I can happily remove it for him.
(I do ear syringing as I’m a HCP btw but wiping DS gunk out after a bath is way more satisfying than removing the stinking compacted ear wax from an 80 year old)

You do ears for your job?! You are so lucky

I don’t feel lucky when I get splash back from the irrigator and get a face full of manky water

Someone please tell me how to get what feels like a huge lump of wax out of my ear. I’m sure it’s not but it feels huge when I prod it. Nothing boring and slow like olive oil. I need it out pronto.

@ouchmyleg you need a friend and an earwax picker (Google them) - you can do it on yourself but much easier for someone else to do.

@Freem what about something like Otex (over the counter remedy)- it softens the wax. Use it continually till they clear a bit.
