The blackish ring - I really hope reckon it might be one of those lovely coiled up ingrown hairs, dh says it looks like a blood blister. Do you think it'll be ok to take a needle to it or is a bit sinister and should I see a gp. Btw the red/pink lumpy thing is a cyst and dr said a few years back that they could remove it but the scarring from surgery would probably be noticeable than it - in case you're wondering 
oh and it's on my leg about three inches above my ankle.
