Painful lump, think it is an ingrown hair

I've a painful lump on inside of the thigh. I think it might in an ingrown hair. I'm pregnant so finding it hard to view myself.

I've tried hot compresses for the last 2 days but not making any difference

Any suggestions? Tried squeezing and it just makes it bigger redder and sore

I'd scratch the top layer of skin from it with tweezers then pull and see if there is a hair, probably not the best advice though!
