I have blackheads on my nose. They've been there for as long as I can remember. Totally ingrained. I've learnt to live with them but if there's a magic remedy out there I'd love to hear it.
I've tried those sticky patch thingys (useless) and microdermabrasion (just made my face red and I think was the cause of my moustache! Loverly)

When I got older my skin changed and got drier, and my nose blackheads eventually disappeared.

I had black heads for years. Until a woman at a cosmetics counter told.me I absolutely MUST use toner. And it worked. Not overnight, but over a few weeks.

At time I used a milk cleanser followed by toner then moisturizer. That was my routine until my early 40s when v dry skin has made me switch to oil cleanser. Blackheads haven't come back though after 20 years!

Differin!! It’s like magic. It’s a retinol on prescription, but you can either a) get it from the states or b) get via certain sites on their prescription service (although tbh they might only prescribe tretinoin which is stronger), or c) get it OTC from certain European countries (most notable, Spain).

But maybe they’re not blackheads but sebaceous filaments (which I have) and this method worked so well for me! I had to start with twice a week for about a month along with AHA exfoliation 2-3x/week but it’s helped sooo much.

Haha really?! So when I get to 40s my skin might dry and they'll fall out like snowflakes? I didn't know about Sporner's Corner so I might request MN to transfer this.

So I guess I'll try toner then. Any particular brand? Will an inexpensive one do?

Alcohol free one is key. Avoid clinique. I used clarins for years but suspect a cheaper version would be fine.
