I had a hysterectomy is couple of years ago because of a mahoosive fibroid. My very lovely surgeon agreed to take a pic of the fibroid after it was removed, want to see?

Will post on next post in case it's just too gross even for you lot.

Wow!!! That is enormous!

Size of a 5 month pregnancy apparently. Caused me no end of problems so I was glad to see it gone forever. Also I always wondered what my cervix looked like, now I know!!!

Cricket I had no idea what a fibroid looked like let alone the size! It must have caused you problems. Hope you're ok now

Super Impressive, for some reason they always compare fibroids to fruit, so I'm guessing that is a melon! Mine were an grapefruit, a couple of tangerines and a few grapes! But I don't have pictures. They did mess up my stitch removal though, staff nurse told me it was a dissolving stitch, but it wasn't, it was a pull through, she just cut the beads off and left it, it was only when I mentioned at my follow up that I could still see it through my skin that they sprang into action.....
