Toddler Insect bite worried

Hi, toddler got a bite on leg 3 weeks ago. Started off red and small but has grown bigger over the last 3 weeks. 2 weeks ago saw Doctor who gave antibiotics. On it for a week and it seemed to get better (less red and flat not raised) but a week being on it, it’s got bigger more inflamed and it’s hard with a black little mark in the middle. Is it an insect? It feels like pus inside but Doctor refused to burst it and instead just prescribed more antibiotics. Toddler doesn’t have temperature but the bite is painful. I guess what I’m asking here is should I burst it or leave it? (Pic attached)

I’d definitly want a second opinion (assuming you saw the same doctor each time?)

I definitely wouldn’t burst it, I’d see a Dr again, second opinion if ness.

Interesting, I've got one of those but it doesn't hurt

Don't burst it, have you tried a hot poultice to try and draw any crap out of it? Could be that what ever but or stung her left something in?
