I posted about this in general health earlier to get advise but thought my fellow sporners might like the pictures!

I tripped over my dog and ripped my toenail. It has now been pushed back in (they gave me local anaesthetic but it didn't help the nail and was so painful) and all wrapped up until the dressing change on Monday

Ow, ow! We will need updates to see if it drops off or settles down again.
Wishing you pain-free healing!

Ouf, that hurts like hell.

I ended up with the same injury after shutting the bathroom door over my toe as a teen running from my sodding DB who was chasing me with a massive spider
Keep it raised if you can and be prepared to end up with an odd shaped toenail once it’s healed.

You have my sympathies.

It's still really bloody sore 36 hours later! They said if it started to bleed I had to go back and there is blood on the bottom of the bandage but I don't know if that's cos it has soaked through when it got a little wet earlier. I didn't think to ask how long o should elevate it for but it hurts if it's not!

I had a problem with my nail last year (won’t go in to detail as it would out me), it was the most painful thing I have ever gone through and the anesthetic did nothing to help. Hope it eases soon.
