That poor dog- what's more alarming was the vet not wearing gloves and picking them up with his bare hands

That poor dog his owners (if he has them and is not a stray) need to be prosecuted for that.

I'm an NHS hospital podiatrist and I recently had to do maggot therapy on a patients diabetic toe amputation, it was bloody disgusting - I was all sweetness, light and professionalism to reassure my patient then went and threw up in the ladies. I fecking hate maggots.

We use larval debridement dressings in nursing too. It they are much easier to handle. They just look like tea bags. I haven't seen the free range option. They are a fantastic option for some difficult wounds.
