Meet Alfie

[Vintageproblem]

My poor DS has developed a massive abscess thing on his leg that I felt I should share. We have called it Alfie.
He's just had 3 days in hospital having antibiotics in a drip. Got home yesterday, but Alfie is looking very angry again.
Back to the GP this afternoon. I think it's time to take a scalpel to Alfie, don't you?

Alfie is the size of the palm of my hand.

Wow. Hope it's not too painful. What was outcome of gp trip

On our way back to A&E now. GP said to see how things went overnight.
It's more painful and slightly more swollen.

Ow! Poor kid!

Surgery later today. At least that should make it more comfortable.

Owww poor boy.

Alfie is now a huge hole in DS's knee. Went to have the dressing done today, poor thing it was so painful for him.
Now have morphine to take before the dressings are done.

It's going to be a long journey until it's fully healed.

Dear me! How old is DS? Any idea what caused it?

He's 14.
He fell of his bike a couple of weeks ago. Lots of bruising but no broken skin. All very odd.
