My 13 yo DD has a very VERY sore, hard lump at the top of her butt crack....she is awfully embarrassed but also very uncomfortable.

She is going to have to go to the GP isn't she...??

Yes definitely. Hopefully some antibiotics can sort it. DH had one that got infected and he ended up in surgery on NYE getting it cut out. I won't lie it's horrid as it's a big wound and it needs to be packed every day for weeks.

I'd take her to the gp, meanwhile though you can put a warm flannel on or have a warm bath and see if it helps the pain a bit.

Ah, poor DD - I'll call the Drs in the am and get a same day appointment

I had one years ago. I was put on two different types of antibiotics at the same time and told that if it turned from hard to soft I had to go to A & E immediately.
