Ingrowing hair help needed

I feel I've found my people here. However I need some help. I've got what I'm sure is an ingrowing hair on the side of my neck. I can see the black dot but it's been there weeks and nothing I do will get it out. The skin won't heal as it's still there.
I've tried tweezers, a needle, and even tried cutting the skin a bit it just bled like buggery

What else can I do? Will mag sulph do anything? Currently have a plaster on it after the cutting incident but I have to go get DS soon

The hair is the dot in the middle

I would say that you need to dig a bit, you may be digging at the hair tip but a mm to the side may be the answer! It's hard to see in the photo!

purpleporpoise · 29/03/2017 16:33

Are these any better?

Before you dig around, are you holding a hot flannel to it, to draw it out a bit?

Uiscebeatha85 · 29/03/2017 16:38

For those types of ones I gently use a needle to prise the hair upwards into a loop iyswim and then get in with the tweezers to pull it out. Love those ones 😍

purpleporpoise · 29/03/2017 17:19

I'll try the flannel. No success with needle to get under it. I can get under the skin IYSWIM

Where are you? We can send help!

purpleporpoise · 30/03/2017 22:59

Yorkshire...I need help. No sporners around
Off for a leg wax on Saturday, tempted to ask her to have a go!

BusterGonad · 31/03/2017 06:04

The leg waxer will be over joyed to do it.

Uiscebeatha85 · 01/04/2017 10:30

I'm in Yorkshire!

purpleporpoise · 01/04/2017 13:09

Leg waxing lady was overjoyed when I mentioned it. She had a go and it's too deep. She's suggested putting Savlon in it to bring it out and said if I need help to go back

I find that the hair usually ends up coming off attached to the scab in these cases, so I would leave it 24-36 hours and then pick the scab off have a dig about and then leave it and keep repeating the process.

BusterGonad · 01/04/2017 13:30

Ha ha op, I knew she'd love it!

purpleporpoise · 01/04/2017 21:43

Have just pulled a 2mm hair out. What an anticlimax! It's been there weeks.
Disappointed now, was hoping it would be good enough to post a pic at least

All that stress and worry over nothing!!!

purpleporpoise · 09/04/2017 21:30

It still hasn't healed properly. I've either damaged it or there's another hair in there. Can't see anything though
