child belly button black head?

This has been in my 3yr olds tummy button as long as I can remember. Obviously he won't let me near it and I'm amazed he stayed still long enough to take a picture. What is it? Feels hard but can't get any purchase on it to try and get it out.

Is it wrong that I would calpol my child just to get near this if he was mine

Kids belly buttons are often pretty full of sweat and dirt, could you swipe round it with a cotton bud and some aqueous cream?

I got these as a child. If I got them out they would be sore and would bleed. I'd leave it alone.

I have something that looks like that. I'd never noticed it before until my belly button turned inside out with pregnancy. Mines actually a skin tag and bleeds like buggery if picked.

Nail varnish is Rimmel 60second one. Cheap and quick

I had my belly button pierced many moons ago and I still get a shard of scab out of It every few weeks - joy!

I have an almost 20 year old belly button piercing that has never been squeezed.
