Maybe a shingles rash

IronDuchess · 20/07/2016 19:37

Def looks like shingles

gingerboy1912 · 21/07/2016 22:37

Not really, we had bed bugsAngry and they tend to bite in a straight line as they walk along and feed. We never had circles or clusters of bites.

gingerboy1912 · 21/07/2016 22:42

Ours looked more like this. Although I see on google there are images of people with hundreds of bites but that is when they sleep in a bed that is absolutely invested with them and has been for months.

DH had shingles earlier this year and they presented just like this.

You will likely find more over the next few days. They tend to appear in a stripe across one side of your body like a strip of patches of rash (along a nerve) they'll likely appear intermittently from your spine to the front of your torso. Apparently they were quite stingy and sore (though the main discomfort was occasional stabbing nerve pain in the area).

They will blister and then scab, when they are scabbed they are no longer contagious.

DH went to the doc as I was pregnant, their advice was to rest and take standard painkillers.

You can't catch shingles from shingles, but you could give someone who has not had chicken pox, chicken pox.

Looks very like shingles to me, I had them recently around my eye, I was on 800mg zovirax 5 times a day for seven days, I felt awful, I still have scarring and pain, get yourself checked out.

Thanks for the pics though, you're a good sporner.

gingerboy, that's some bruise along with those bites Shock

onedogatoddlerandababy · 21/07/2016 22:55

Was about to say if they near your eyes, you must go and get antivirals.
Shingles in your eye can affect your eyesight permanently.

ellenanora5 · 21/07/2016 23:07

Yep onedogatoddler, I have to have my eyes checked again soon.

gingerboy1912 · 22/07/2016 06:47

Ellen. It was a pic I pulled off of google but thanks for the concern, I didn't even notice the bruise.
