My DS has got about 12 lovely blackheads - the type that comes out in little worms - on his nose. They are huge and perfect and there every day for me to see, and I can' touch them. He won't let me.
I tried persuasion, I tried the 'for your own good'- talk, I tried to pin him down. Nothing. Sad

My mum has loads and i couldn't do anything about them as we were in polite company. She only lets me at them

VulcanWoman · 05/05/2016 17:10

Bribe him with something, it has to be done.

InteriorLulu · 05/05/2016 17:15

DD (11) has these and won't let me near them. No amount of bribery has worked.

prokupatuskrakedatus · 05/05/2016 17:41

At least I'm not alone. Smile

My mother used to simply grab me round the neck and deal with my blackheads. I didn't stand a chance. She used to do sports.
Me - I'm weak and he's wriggly.
Bribery doesn't work (no star charts, stickers, bean jars - nothing like that ever worked).

A fiver?

BrianCoxReborn · 05/05/2016 17:47

I once paid DD a fiver to get at her first ever white head.

It took some persuading and after a day of letting it brew she finally let me at it.

Oh it was immense.

She, unfortunately, was traumatized and hasn't let me near her since.

Do you know what that bastard Zoella -or a similar internet bore-- has done? Told her (via YouTube) that you must never squeeze spots. Just leave them alone.

SHE BELIEVES THIS CRAP!!!!!

VulcanWoman · 05/05/2016 18:01

Cold hard cash.

prokupatuskrakedatus · 06/05/2016 09:19

He's not interested in money.
At least not enough to 'sacrifice' (his words) his nose.

But I'll keep trying.

Some type of food treat.

prokupatuskrakedatus · 07/05/2016 14:01

Sadly - there are only about 10 food items he's willing to eat.

One of the blackheads looks as if it'll start to develop into something even more fun.
I could threaten him with a visit to a dermatologist?

You're his mother tell him he's grounded/can't have iPad/PlayStation etc if he doesn't let you!! Get mean!!!! Lol

CuppaSarah · 09/05/2016 13:55

Something will be worth it! whatever he's into find it and bribe him with it.

VulcanWoman · 09/05/2016 18:02

Yes, everyone has their price Grin

namechange101010 · 13/05/2016 00:06

DS once had the most mahoosive great lump on his nose, it positively glowed. He wouldn't let me anywhere near it. I used to fantasise about creeping up on him while he was asleep and doing a lightning strike with a sharp needle, sadly I never managed it. It's still the One That Got Away in my wistful memory.

tigerdriverII · 13/05/2016 00:11

It's the ones on DS's collar line that infuriate me. They're so rife and ripe it'd be like the 1812 overture if I got going on them.

YellowShockedFace · 13/05/2016 00:33
Shock You need to go NC if he doesn't let you at them soon. That'll learn him.
prokupatuskrakedatus · 14/05/2016 13:08

Whenever he comes near me he holds onto his nose with both hands. Even on mother's day. I think he doesn't trust me. Sad

I'm afraid they'll clear up without my help.

My newborn has a massive blackhead in her ear and it's all I can see when she's feeding. Obviously I won't touch it but it's driving me DEMENTED.

almostthirty · 17/05/2016 17:31

Could you wait til he's in bed the sit on him to pin him down? It's for his our own good.

I tried to 'Sandra Lee' my own spot today and went wrong. It's bruised and swollen and red and is on the end of my nose Blush
It's a bit sore too. Oh dear.

Situation did not get better.
Got DH to help, we're trying to come up with a cunning plan.

Arf, he's a fussy eater and on the low end of healthy - so I can't stop his biscuits.

The blackheads look lovely.

And he's not into money.
