The important question is, was there pus??

MummySparkle · 06/04/2016 22:17

Ouch! I had massive underarm abcesses after having my BCG jab at school. I had weeks of pus from them. I asked my mum if I should get it checked it by a doctor, but she was reluctant to ever let me see one. I've still the scars 10yeaes on. But the pus was glorious!

hollinhurst84 · 06/04/2016 22:24

First time yes there was (this is the third time it's opened)
Surgeons said it wasn't ready to lance, I did it myself. It poured and the smell EnvyEnvy and I have a strong stomach!

Ouch! DS had a large hard lump under his arm a couple of years ago - he was 7 or 8 I think, bless him. He reluctantly let me squeeze it (with DH holding him) and an impressive amount of greenish thick gunk came out. I had to squeeze it twice more over the next week before it started to calm down. I'm always checking in case he has any more! Blush But it was nothing compared to yours! Luckily DH is happy for me to squeeze spots/ blocked pores etc on his back/ ears etc, hehehe.

hollinhurst84 · 22/08/2016 06:41

And now I have another! It's not for bursting yet Sad
It's sort of half in the same place, half not

This is how the scar normally looks, it's so swollen that the indented bit is pushed out

All done Grin I had a general anaesthetic and they drained, excised, cut some more bits off and flushed it and removed some adhesions and packed it

OP posts:
hollinhurst84 · 05/02/2017 23:45

Update again! It didn't heal so I have had (another) surgery with local anaesthetic where they have created a skin flap
Bruising is immense, it's v neat though

OP posts:
BaileysAddict · 05/02/2017 23:47

Looks similar to Hydradenitis Superativa which I have. Both my underarms resemble yours, however not quite that bad x

hollinhurst84 · 06/02/2017 00:51

Yeah I have HS Sad
It's only been the past three years my armpit has been affected and it's only one so far so crossed fingers it doesn't spread but it's such an unpredictable thing
