Fancy finding out about Coca-Cola Zero Sugar? Event in London on 30 June - £200 to be won! NOW CLOSED

We have been asked by the team at Coca-Cola Great Britain to find between 25-50 MNers to attend a special event to introduce Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and to ask questions of the senior team at Coke HQ.

The event will take place:
Date: Thursday 30th June
Time: 11.30am – 2pm
~ attendees will need to stay for the whole session and will receive a goody bag as they leave
Venue: Central London, nearest Tube: Oxford Circus
Food & Drink: Coca-Cola Zero Sugar taste session followed by lunch

The event is aimed at adults who like a sparkling soft drink and are interested in trying no sugar options.

They say “Coca-Cola Great Britain is launching Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, a new and improved sugar-free Coca-Cola which will replace Coca-Cola Zero. It will taste more like Coke and look more like Coke but without the sugar. It is the result of years of innovation and recipe development and will replace Coca-Cola Zero which was launched in 2006. We’d love to give MNers a chance to be one of the first to give us and try and tell us what they think.”

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the drinks that Coca-Cola offers – they make and sell 18 different brands including favourites like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Dr Pepper, Schweppes, smartwater and more. There will be experts on hand to answer any questions you might have about the drinks.

Note
With regret no under 18’s can attend.
You will need to make your own way to the event and no travel costs will be paid
The team at Coca-Cola Great Britain would like to photograph/film the event, (maybe do some voxpops) and potentially use the content on their digital channels so all participants will need to sign release forms on the day.

We’re also looking for 100 non attending MNers, to try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home and share their feedback on MN. So, if you’re unable to attend, but would like to try at home, please add your details here. Those selected will then be sent a sample of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and asked to share your views on MN on the taste. All non-attendees who try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home and share feedback on the thread, will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £100 John Lewis voucher.

If you’d like to attend the day, or to try Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at home please add your details here.

Everyone who attends the event and shares their feedback on a thread on MN, will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

caffeine free*

notamummy10 · 15/06/2016 11:29

Seafood I'm guessing it's because Diet Coke has more caffeine than the regular Coke and the soon to be reformulated Coke Zero!

Diet Coke has no sugar in it, so it needs the higher amount of caffeine so people still get the 'buzz' whereas Coke has the higher sugar content so doesn't need as much as caffeine as Diet Coke does.

Diet Coke Caffeine Free (essentially the decaf Diet Coke) will still have caffeine in it, just at a reduced amount!

Hope this helps!

would be great to try

I would ask about their research into aspartame. Would rather fill every cell of my body with sugar than that muck...

Trills · 17/06/2016 00:38

If "they" did research into aspartame you'd dismiss it anyway.

What you want is independent research into aspartame.

Which so far has said it's safe.

ladedah · 17/06/2016 22:44

has anyone heard back from the organisers about this? I'm just wondering when we'll be told if we can attend because I'd need to swap around my shifts in work...?

gazzalw · 18/06/2016 15:41

Pity they didn't schedule this for the weekend, to attend with teenagers - DS would have loved to go.

AnnMumsnet · 18/06/2016 21:29

Hi - should be able to let folks know who has been selected on Tues or Wed latest - we have had a great level of interest in this!

I don't know if the testers have already been sent out but if not, can I cancel mine (if I was selected to try it out)? It's already out in the shops so I've managed to buy a bottle!

feedback thread now live
Plus the 100 non attendees have been selected and the packs are being sorted out now, once they are on their way I will let those selected know.
