C Rex for me, but I'll pick out most of the jalapeños, leaving just a couple. I wont be able to eat the bun so I'll offset with onion rings.
DH will go double bacon cheese burger with fries
DS would pick the Smokey but give his bacon to DD, and then pick cheesy chips.
Dd will skip the burger completely and have halloumi fries, Mac n cheese and a side salad, but eat half my onion rings: and I'll let her!
I've never heard of Byron burger but they aren't too far away and the menu looks good!

LubaLuca · 01/08/2022 23:29

I'd probably go for the Plantastic but would remove the vegan cheese thing and anything like mayo. I wonder if you could swap the vegan cheese for cheese actually. I miss the days of decent vegetarian options. Milkshake of some sort to go with.

My kids would all go for cheeseburger type things.

Winginit73 · 01/08/2022 23:31

Between us we'd pretty much cover the full menu! A B-Rex for my partner and a V-Rex for me. Then the kids would have a cheeseburger and a classic chicken. Then for sides, definitely the cheese chips, some pimped up halloumi fries the Byron slaw and a classic Mac and cheese. I can't see us having any space for dessert but my daughter will want to try the salted caramel brownie.

msbevvy · 01/08/2022 23:32

The smokey is our favourite. Halloumi fries and sweet potato fries. Not forgetting the coleslaw. All washed doy with vanilla milkshakes

JingsMahBucket · 01/08/2022 23:39

@MaddyMumsnet that menu link is now sending you to an error page. 😕

NoInvitesEver · 01/08/2022 23:47

C-Rex for me, sweet potato fries, slaw and maple & mustard greens. Salted caramel shake (treat as I have lots of healthy veg in my picks)
The teenagers would have The Smokey and the double bacon cheese I think and definitely the Oreo shake. DH the biggest one so probably the double bacon cheese too.

TheStarsDontShine · 01/08/2022 23:51

Classic burger. slaw and Eton Mess milkshake please

SteveHarringtonsChestHair · 01/08/2022 23:54

Oh no, now my mouth is watering thinking about this! Midnight snack anyone?

I’d keep it classic with a Byron, DS would have a V Rex, then Smokey for the other DS and a double bacon cheese for DD.

All the sides! And milkshakes all round, salted caramel for me, vegan salted caramel for veggie DS (who isn’t actually vegan but drinks vegan milk!) and a Coke for DD.

Pleeeeease let me win this voucher as I’m hungry now Grin

LouisCatorze · 02/08/2022 08:44

I'd have stir fried maple and mustard greens, skin on fries and the plantastic, please.

JulesJules · 02/08/2022 08:51

V-Rex or Easy Cheesy for me and D1, DH would have B-Rex, D2 Classic (and take out all the salad) plus onion rings, halloumi fries , skin on fries and slaw between us.

Namechangedone · 02/08/2022 08:55

I'm pleasantly surprised about the vegan options, I've always dismissed Byron as an option but it looks great. I'd have have the v-Rex, sweet potato fries and the vegan shake.

ZombieKettle · 02/08/2022 09:00

For me and my daughter I'd order the cheeseburger (her) and B-Tex (me), tonnes of fries and onion rings, and for pudding she'd probably have the Oreo cheesecake while I inhale a salted caramel brownie.

I'm now really hungry, so thanks for that!

WellJuhnelle · 02/08/2022 09:08

I’d have an Easy Cheesy, my husband would spend ages agonising over the B-Rex & the Clucky but would ultimately choose the Clucky. We’d share some fries and maybe some onion rings with sriracha mayo.

Tge kids would have burgers but without the lettuce and tomato. We’d all be too full for dessert but our daughter especially loves mint choc chip anything so we would probably treat her to a shake and all have a little bit.

internetpersonme · 02/08/2022 09:09

Maple and mustard greens look delicious

With a v rex and salted caramel vegan shake although I would want sweet potato fries too doubt I could finish it all

DD loves onion rings so would get the bbq ones, i am guessing a shake and the mac and cheese 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

WoozieFloozie · 02/08/2022 09:21

frazzledasarock · 01/08/2022 22:20

None of them. Why is the only option for vegetarians the halloumi cheese with more cheese option or the vegan one with the vegan cheese?

why isn’t there a vegetarian patty with real cheese option?

I just had a look and thought the same unfortunately.

BellaVida · 02/08/2022 11:58

As the only veggie option we would have to go for the Beyond Meat burger, but honestly prefer burgers that aren’t like meat. It would be easy to have a bean burger or alternative. Side order of halloumi fries and Mac n cheese to share with my daughter. Deserts would be the choc mint sundae for me, and probably choc butterscotch. Strawberry would be a better option that cherry.

llynnnn · 02/08/2022 13:02

Ooo bacon double cheeseburger and sweet potato fries (if you're going to have it might as well go for it!)

The Oreo cheesecake looks delicious too!

Marmite17 · 02/08/2022 13:17

Would love to try the maple and mustard greens. Looks delicious and imaginative. Would fit with low carb, reduced calorie diet and most likely a cooking fest to try to replicate at home! Would possibly pair with the classic chicken strips.
When my 14 pounds is lost would like to try "proper" American mac and cheese. But also drawn to the classic burger with green salad.
Usually treat friends with Tesco rewards vouchers for eating out. Great that there are so many vegan options.

Marmite17 · 02/08/2022 13:19

Simple grilled chicken with lemon and herbs imo would be a great addition to menu.

Marmite17 · 02/08/2022 13:24

Love chicken souvlaki so maybe similar for as fatties!

Marmite17 · 02/08/2022 13:25

With an American twist?

RosalindsAFuckingNightmare · 02/08/2022 13:34

Double bacon cheese everytime.

RockinHorseShite · 02/08/2022 13:46

Unfortunately nothing as you only have vegan meat free options & we'd all want real cheese etc., not the fake vegan stuff🤢 Coleslaw & fries wouldn't cut it I'm afraid, so we'd have to go elsewhere

UnityO · 02/08/2022 14:03

I have simple tastes when it comes to burgers so I'd have a cheeseburger and fries with a side order of slaw (to be healthy!)

DC would be all over those milkshakes - probably a chocolate or Oreo's one- with some chicken strips and sweet potato fries.

I actually want a burger now!! 🍔 😋

RubiesandRose · 02/08/2022 15:01

I haven't had a Byron burger for years! Last time was visiting DS in York and I had had the journey from hell, 7 hours from south east England!

I fell into the restaurant exhausted and stressed and they found us a lovely little booth, sent me a wine over and some free sides and were absolutely lovely!! Made my evening!

Burgers are divine, so I'd choose the classic burger, with halloumi fries on the side, some slaw and some chicken strippers too.

Kids are all post Uni now but I'm sure they would join me for a reunion meal as we still talk about our Byron experience!!
