Team around children meetings

Ok am thinking it might be good idea get everyone together and get it all out so everyone knows what is happening , speech unit get to learn ds does just not have speech problems.Also gives me chance to get Ot and physio to say whats going on with the nhs borders etc

Ds has been referd to children with disablites team but no sw appointed infact other than ss ot no contact what so ever ,

question is can I call a TAC meeting?

You can certainly suggest it. Be clear about why you want it, though. And put your suggestion and reasons in writing in an email to all professionals involved. Harder for them to knock back parental wishes when they are in black and white.

hmm whats best way of tracking down physio and ot emails have got schools , nursery np and have got Lea member been dealing with

Just seems no one is any good at passing on reports and i spend half my time copying reports and passing them on and chasing people for stuff

well that depends, do you have a CAF? Has anyone started one? Here you cant have a TAC without first completing a CAF, unless your under EST.
If you dont have one, request one for HV, pre school or anyone else

nope nothing doing lol we did not even have pre school advisor or specialist teacher ,.Hmm who do i need to ask about requesting one?

Ds does have a statement

most proffessionals involved can start a CAF assessment, so either HV, preschool or paed. I personally would go with HV or Preschool. You need to explain your child has an unmet need (this is critia for CAF).

hmm Hv not really involves as ds is almost 5 hmm could try pae dbut shes worse than useless, sigh trouble is we dont really have any involved they come send one report and vanish hence why wanted TAC meeting
