write to them requesting an assessment, we found they easily forget about phonecalls, or ask someone to refer you to them in writing? sorry im not much help but we have ongoing issues with them ignoring us!!

I found that phone calls are 'forgotten'. It is better to write, requesting an assessment of need (yours as the carer perhaps) to the disablity team at CSF. They have a duty to respond!

personally also i send letters recorded and state in content of letter that it was sent recorded and give them a date to respond by!! i like to be firm, doesnt get me much further but i try!!

You can ask your HV to do a CAF. I had to do that as my local children with disabilities team wouldn't see me without one. This is despite me calling thm up and tellin them I felt suicidal as couldn't get out the house with the DC.
