The meeting had gone really well all the right things were said with regard to ds2 needs and moving up to secondary school... I kept myself in check though as you all know how sometimes the write ups don't reflect the meetings.

Well.. The report is ace.. It has got everything we and the school suggested and a whole lot more!
It was clear factual and to the point! Lots of examples of difficulties were used and it acknowledged that ds tries really really hard and is a lovely bight boy, even though he displays aggressive and destructive meltdowns if known triggers aren't caught in time.

I now have a little proffessionals crush on our EP!

I really couldn't have asked for more! Oh and she wants to review his transition progress two then four and then six weeks of being in his new school!

I could cry!

Next time you see her, kidnap her and force her to come and assess all our children!

That must be such a relief. But don't forget your own part in keeping on top of things etc. to get this far.

I love it when I hear stories of good professionals. It gives me some hope.

It is a huge relief.. The amount of times ds2 has been let down is beyond count.

I am very happy to share our EP.. All of our dc's deserve her or one similar to her..

Yes to the point of keeping on top of things.. I always now take a up to date dummies guide and history to ds2 pack into meetings ( everyone gets their own copy).
which actually really does help them us and ds2.
I'd deffinately reccommended this tactic for all meetings folks it's a pain in the butt but I have been caught out before and this way you can immediatly refer to the guide if questioned or to make a point.. It alsosaves a lot of time in meetings about specific issues.
