ok, went to visit new special preschool today, it was lovely and would be wonderful for DD2, as suggested by pead. Its more than i thought at £28 a session, with the recommendation she goes at least 2 times a week. I so torn, I have just given up my job to help DD1, but now DD2 will suffer for it

Difficult one, lisad If you applied for DLA, got mid-rate care (or higher) then you automatically qualify for carer's allowance, if you earn under £100 per week, which is £53.90 per week. That would cover the sessions.

yes but im aware it took 9 months to get it for DD1

lisa- dd2's DLA took 8 weeks to come through, if your dd was to start in September her DLA would be through (hopefully), you will also be able to get carers allowance.

How old is your dd? is there not a SN pre-school that would do funded sessions?

There must be a way you can find the money or borrow it until DLA comes through? Apply for DLA ASAP. Have you got any family who can help? Anything you can sell?

For my dd2 her going to SN nursery has helped her so much as she had so much extra therapy and staff were trained to do ABA and floor time. Its given her the best start in life.

Don't give up, there must be a way of funding it some how.

And please don't feel guilty for giving up work to look after your dd's, you have done the best for your girls.

DD2 is 2.9, and yes they can fund it, but still only takes price down to £20 a session.

My family help when they can but they have their own difficulties (misdee and SGK are my big sisters).

Does anyone know if TAC money can be used? will apply for DLA asap

Does your dd2 have a dx? there maybe charities that might fund a place at sn nursery or you maybe able to get a grant. Just trying to find out for you.

Take a look here.

Also Cerebra fund some therapy (i'm not sure if pre-school will count as therapy).
