Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

So there's an anonymous caller on my Social Service file, saying awful things....

are they allowed to keep records on me that were rung in by annonymous people?

It's a pack of lies btw, at the best very very bended truth.

Professionals (including teachers and LA)are considered mandatory reporters. Mandatory reporters are required by law to make reports when they have concerns. Mandatory reporters may not make anonymous reports.

So perhaps you need to point this out to them. The person who reported that you do not need respite, was obviously not a professional and therefore not qualified to make this comment and it should be removed.

Thanks everyone.

justa you are right that I need to focus on the battles with the most likely impact, but claw is also right that these things, if not challenged do have a habbit of revisiting. It is one thing to exhaust yourself having a huge row about it, but quite another to write to state that it is an innacuracy that needs to be removed. Whether they do or not, the letter will get added so if it comes up in the future you can say that the issue was in dispute, at the very least.

wassup This issue has been on a back-burner for a while actually. It resurfaced as I was writing the last paragraph of my case statement for tribunal.

TBH, I think I may be looking at Judicial Review, if I can link all my complaints together and imply strategic harassment/bullying as well as incompetence and lies. I wonder if I will have the strength after the tribunal? I certainly think I have the evidence!

Good Luck with it star. I emailed the chief consultant paed of our areas NHS to ask how to complain about a consultant paed and what was the ASD carepathway and she passed my query round the houses and I got all the emails the depts had between themselves sent back to me in the eventual reply. Comments such as "What do I do about this" and "Leave this with me and I will send the info from this Department and ask them to correspond with us in relation to any complaints or claims, as per Trust Policy".
Even the peeps that are supposed to know what to do don't have a clue..

Agree write one letter and then put it on the back burner for Ombudsman / complaint / legal action later on.

Keep your eye on the prize!
