Ok, I'm going to submit a FOI Act application for information regarding exhanges between relevant health depts (OT, SALT etc) and the LA about provision.

Anyone got any ideas about wording?? I will do some research but looking for shortcuts!

I just said, please send me every single document you hold on me or my ds from x date until today, including email correspondence.
I then said 'these people might be good to start with, but I would like all documents from everyone even if not specifically named here'

That kinda thing. They do weed, so the best thing to do is make sure you have all the right people and forms to request the information, and a few copies of your and your ds' passport to submit without delay if they want evidence. Then, hit them all together!

Thanks. I'm looking for guidance issued by LA to OT etc about writing of reports which touch upon educational provision not specific to my case but of more general application

Oh sorry, I got it wrong and thought you meant subject access. Not like you didn't say is it

Just say you'd like the policy documents or any proformas that they use in order to make their recommendations. That you are particular interested in any guidelines issued to them by the LA.

It is possible to do this in a 'friendly' way because ANY request for such information is a freedom of information request by law I believe, so you only have to spell it out if they become difficult.

Ah, Debs, is that what you were talking about, or were you talking about more general discussions regarding provision and assessments, and what should or shouldn't be done/said/committed to? Rather than specifically in reference to your DS?

If the former, then something like

"All correspondence between the LA and any health department regarding:

-The role of the Health department in advising the LA of needs for provision for specific children or groups of children

-The wording of reports for the LA with regard to statutory assessments

-Quantifying provision

etc, etc..
