Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

I cried with happiness at nursery for a change.

Went in today and the Head said she had something nice to show me.

DD had had her "Golden Day" on Monday...every day at the moment they are picking a child's name out of a box to have a special day where they are the special person and the other children have to say why they like her.

They had written down the things the children had said.

They all said things like "I like DD and she does wonderful drawings of cars and cats and people"
"I like DD when she is singing"
One said "I like her, she is really nice". And another said "I just love DD".

Others said "I love helping DD with her coat and to play in the water".

I just filled up and then was teary afterwards.

Just hope this might last a wee bit longer - I know older kids aren't so kind always!

DD can't really speak to the other children and is quite physically behind them too so it was lovely to read all that.

oh that sounds lovely, fanjo.

It sounds as though your dd has soemreally lovely childrenaround her - and it just goes ot show, childrendon't always see the disability.

Hold onto this memory - it is always nice ot hear how accepted our children are.

I did hope they would like her because she has such a sweet nature so was nice to see that they appear to.

That is lovely . I would keep those for you and your dd to remind yourselves later on how much she means to others.
