So thassit then. He's labelled. I knew this was coming, spoke to the paed, but bloody hell, I have had the wind knocked out of me by it.

It just seems so fast, somehow, ASD was first mentioned in January, I spent 6 months going NONONONONO LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU, and now it's here. . I just hope the report helps, the Paed has written in strong terms the need for sensory therapy and is writing to the OT service seperately.

Anyway, I know a lot of people are fighting for DX and might wonder WTF I am moaning about, onward and upward. At least I know now.

Have a good weekend everyone. xx

No BWH I fought for ages for the dx of ds who was really clear cut. Knowing it doesn't mean you don't get a nasty shock when you see it formally though.

Still it doesn't mean much more than an entrance ticket to the labyrinth of provision. And despite what they say, you can't get in without the ticket. You ds hasn't changed on reciept of the ticket, but hopefully now he has the potential to progress that he didn't without.

Hope you are kind to yourself this weekend.

you poor thing, even when it's expected, seeing things in black and white is still a bit of a blow. look after yourself, take time for cake/glass of wine/good howl.

First of all can I say that its a positive step that you now have a diagnosis as you need this in order to access provision.

Secondly, you are so lucky to be referred to a sensory trained OT. We get feck all OT let alone a sensory trained one despite my numerous letters of complaint.

The intervention is now kicking in and this will hopefully make a huge difference to your DS. Dont focus too much on the label though.

You will come to terms with this. It will probably take time but meanwhile take it easy x
