Many on here struggle to find a suitable school for their dc, with various dx & some without a dx... Anyway....
Here in Suffolk where the houses are pretty cheap, we have the countryside & the beach & its flat (for all the w/chair users) they are closing all the middle schools - so - my plan is.
You all move to sunny suffolk & we open a MN fully inclusive ASD, CP, GDD, Epilepsy, just a little bit quirky (add any dx) & NT if they want to come, School.

I did a countywide search, so it may have omitted some results.

OK, checked Saxmundham and still double the prices here (it's South Wales cheap, here in East Durham)! DRY does sound tempting, mind. And did you say FLAT?!

Signed,

Finding the damp and the hills a bit much, some days.

I'll buy, is he cheap?
Typing & communications skills would be high on the curriculum!

Arsenic - we do have Wynyard on our doorstep, which is WAGS territory (and proof that money doesn't buy taste), but yep, it's mostly very reasonable and often very cheap, here. Services aren't half bad up here, either, compared to some areas. I suspect that our quality of life is pretty decent compared with what it could be, even though our village is a bit out in the sticks and public transport isn't nearly as good here as in Tyne & Wear.

ouryve · 08/06/2010 20:28

Oh, and I'll volunteer explosives and rude bits Science.

dounutbrain · 08/06/2010 20:33

sounds great and im already in suffolk

silverfrog · 08/06/2010 20:38

I can do languages ancient and modern

any takers for Latin, Mandarin or HIndi?

dh can run a mean budget too

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/06/2010 20:51

Anon .. I asked dh his rate.. He says he is priceless!
But would love to teach sn children how to touch type!

Although thinks morse code might end up in a stimming fest! ( if ds2 is anything to go by)

tibni · 08/06/2010 20:54

dh used to deliver training in inclusive software and I work in a student support / examination position.

mummysaurus · 08/06/2010 20:59

I could teach spanish and politics. DH is a budding gardener.

house prices seem quite reasonable to me (compared to london)

Ampersand44 · 08/06/2010 21:04

Can't teach but make good cakes, can we come too if we promise to feed everyone?

Davros · 08/06/2010 21:10

I LOVE Suffolk. But we have been very lucky with services (DS is nearly 15!) so we'd be terrified to move, not that I'm sure we would if we could anyway iyswim. Now, a second home.........

anonandlikeit · 08/06/2010 22:43

Cakes!!! Now we always need cakes.
In my dreams this school goes from early years to 18+ teaching anything from curriculum subjects to life skills - so gardening is a must surely!

Morse code... a very under rated skill IMHO [GRIN]

Tibini you & your husband are on the payroll too!

Can we have horse-riding on the curriculum. I'll teach it to all ages not just early years. Great benefits to children with additional needs, esp ASD.

DD1 would live in the stables and do all the mucking out.

anonandlikeit · 09/06/2010 16:36

Yes please, ds2 has been on the waiting list for riding for disabled for ages.

5inthebed · 09/06/2010 16:41

I've got qualifications to teach sex education , so I could help with older children.

Sounds like my ideal school!

anonandlikeit · 09/06/2010 18:47

Hey 5inthe bed...can I sit in on one of your lessons?
I am extremely underqualified for anything of any use but me & dh could cook, clean, help out & dh could do all the DIY.

5inthebackofthenet · 09/06/2010 19:21

anonandlikeit · 10/06/2010 22:17

We are not going to Aalive tomorow (ds2 is at school) I have an appnt in Lowestoft.
All our services etc come under Ipswich they are great TBH.
DS2's school support, statement, LEA is all northern area, Lowestoft as we are half way between Ipswich & Lowestoft.

Hope the clinic & SALT go well.

dounutbrain · 10/06/2010 22:24
