we have 2 spare pairs of piedro boots my ds has grown out of, im sick of tripping over them in the cupboard under the stairs!! and physio has shown no interest in having them back so before i freecycle thought i would offer on here. both are navy blue, both have been worn for about 3 months at the most so the leather is softer than when they are new though tread is ok, they didnt greatly help my sons toe walking though so more tread gone on toes than heels!! one of the pairs has a hook missing for the shoelaces - its the top hook though so maybe easy enough to live without, or probably easy to replace i dunno!? anyway, anybody want them for postage costs or collect from mansfield, notts? will weigh them if anyone interested and see what cost would be but cant imagine it would be much?!

Sorry to hijack - can you tell me more about your son's toe walking? My DD is a toe walker, and I'm beginning to get concerned.... She's 17mo and has been walking on toes since she took off at 12mo. She can put her feet flat on the floor (she stands this way), but always walks on her toes.

MrsM - do you fancy changing your name? It's not very nice, especially on this board. Ta.

Sorry - hope I haven't caused offence. That was an old school nickname (v long story, that isn't worth explaining). I hadn't even thought of the other meanings

HV has recommended a visit to the GP, so we'll see what they have to say (Scaring myself by googling, which I realise I shouldn't but can't help myself).

That said, I should really count my blessings as otherwise DD seems to have no issues other than simply "being a toddler" . Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Thank you. They would be good to try before going to the expense of new ones, if they dont work for him!

First 2 pairs of peidros didnt help my son's toewalking.

In the third pair we got a "heel retaining strap" put in.

Strap is attached from inner side of heel, on the inside, goes over their foot, and comes out through a slot on the outer side of heel. Fastens to a buckle on the outer side of heel.

In theory this was to stop him taking them the shoes off - helps with this.

However he also immediately started to walk better - as his heel was being held down into the correct position I guess.

Has now stopped toewalking even when barefoot.
