autism and school in newcastle upon tyne

My boy is in primary school. Has a statement but we are moving to newcastle. I need some info about schools that can support a child with autism and dyspraxia in the newcastle area. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just seen this. There is quite a culture of inclusion in the north east so I would contact schools you are interested in and ask about what they offer. There are also a few schools with specialist units so look at the newcastle council website to get a list of those. There is the Thomas Bewick school for sever autism but they also have a manned NAS resource centre there which may give you info.
Generally find the area good for sn, good luck and ask anything else you want to.
