Schools becoming academies

How will this impact our children with sen? Any thoughts please share because I am very confused.

Our Local Authority hasn't specifically funded the statemented pupils at any of the maintained schools for years. they claim that they put it in a pot and shared it out equally to all schools. So some Academies simply refuse to take on any more (partly why they win).

The newspapers are speculating wrongly because they don't have access to info at the academies.

Just an update.

The Bill has now passed from the House of Lords to the House of Commons, who will debate it on Monday, 19th July 2010.

So it could become law by the end of July!!!
