We had the man from Tom cat come today to try dd1 with a trike, she was a little nervous about trying one out but as soon as she got on it she loved it, she managed to pedal down the road and back (she couldn't pedal a normal bike), she was so pleased with herself .

Now we just need to hope we get funding to get her one.

Try Children Today or Caudwell children, both offered me the money for ds's Tomcat but they took a while to reply so i had already got it from the family fund.
My friends Tomcat was also funded by the Elifar Foundation

Have you tried Family Fund and Merlins???

I've got one (for me). A Pashley Picador. They are actually harder to steer than ordinary bikes and have a tendency to veer all over the place if there is a camber in the road.

But I think it's fun.

We have filled out the forms for Cerebra, just need to get a letter from dd1's pead (i can't even remember her peads name as we havn't seen him since her dx), also waiting on a letter from her teacher but she's taking her time writing it. I really hope we can get a trike by the end of the summer, funding could take a couple months and then a further 9 weeks to get the trike made.

WetAugust- i wish i could have one, they look great, i think i will have to get myself a bike so i can take dd1 out .
