we got turned down for a ds to be assessed for a sa and i phoned parent partnership to help us appeal its took them 3 weeks to phone back anyway she says phone lea to have a meeting before going for appeal with school, so i did and school says they didnt know anything about us being turned down( we applied not school) and said get back to us i feel like we chasing and nothing happing

mm starlight thats what i thought too, we have to appeal before june 14th with two months i think i also think pp are in with lea they are in same building [

Keep a diary of all the key dates and events - who you spoke to and what was said.

You can send that to SENDIST to back up your appeal

Yep, just do your appeal yourself. PP can sometimes be useful for coming to meetings, but I wouldn't depend on them.

IPSEA have a refusal to assess pack, just fill the form in yourself with advice from one of the charities (and here). The LA often don't take SA requests seriously until they've received an appeal bundle.
