DS has the ADOS next week. Can those of you who have had this with their DCs tell me whether the people administering the tests had any prior knowledge of their child?

We have been seing one psychologist at the local CAMHS (DS saw her once and she did a useless school observation) but she was so dreadful we asked for someone else to deal with the case. The two people doing it have never met DS.

Sorry to hijack, but DS has an appt for a multi discipline review in a few weeks where he will spend 3 sessions with various people (SALT, paed, psychologist, OT etc) and then the 4th session they will give us their diagnosis/opinion/assessment of further needs.
Is this the ADOS??
At the moment DS has ?mild ASD on all his reports. He is 4.8yrs
Thanks

Felix - the ADOS is a play-assessment that lasts about 1hr (I think! memory hazy) which is done in one session. It could possibly be 1 of the 3 sessions includes the ADOS but impossible to say - maybe worth a phonecall if you want to know either way.

Hope it all goes well.
