"eating disorder" - AIBU?

My ds is on gluten free diet as per neurologist's recommendation. We mentioned it at the review meeting exactly as I described it here and provided the consultant's letter to support it.
We now have a draft Statement (was done mainly for other educational reasons) and LEA refer to gf diet as "an eating disorder".

Personally I think it implies something slightly uncontrollable with a possible need for psychological treatment, like anorexia, whereas GF diet although strict is very much controllable and doesn't need treatment.

How do I tactfully correct them?
Or am I reading too much into it?

It's a label though and I doubt if your ds needs an extra one of those. I would ask for it to be changed to food intolerance.

thank you Al1, it's another very good point!
I have written back to have this corrected.
