we need to buy ds some reins, hes too big for standard ones and i dont really fancy the backpack type ones so been looking on crelling site, now, ds is quite an escape artist, hes 4 and a half but in 5-6/6-7 clothes as hes rather tall for his age! so anyone have these? which do you recommend?? the age up to 8 ones, what kind of size do you think they are, or should i go for 8 to adult size?? we need more than just the wrist one and would like the normal style or escape artist ones rather than the waist belt only i think as i feel long term these will be better value as its only a matter of time before ds escapes the waist one!! ay suggestions anyone?! im undecided whether the most escape proof ones with the panel on the front are too much and he would be ok with the net ones down or if id regret those!?

We were given (very kindly by a MNer) an up to age 8 set of crelling reins for DD1, with the full shoulder straps (model WR).

To be honest, I have no idea what 8 year olds they have seen, because I am wearing it as we type (only as an experiment for you ), and at its loosest I could slip out of it with ease. I am a 5'8'' adult, size 8.

To get the harness to fit me well (not snug, even) I have had to shorten the shoulder straps by 5'' (13cm), and shorten the waist band by 10'' (25cm).

The waist band is around 40'' (1 metre) long, and the shoulder straps are 29'' (75cm) long.
The chest plate is 7'' (17cm) by 2½'' (6cm).

You are probably sick of hearing about it now
