Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

"I know that many women have disabled children as pets"

On the MN Facebook page and written by some vile piece of work mumsnetter I suppose called Claire Khaw

I have started a thread in chat asking who she is but no reply yet.

Surely comments such as the one above and "As for the mother in the link who fears for her disabled son, perhaps this is an object lesson for all of us who are thinking of inflicting our disabled children on the taxpayer. Don't have disabled children and add to the increasing pool of the unproductive and feckless of this benighted country." actually come under hate speech rather than 'free speech'.

What on EARTH is MN doing allowing it on their FB page. I think they've lost the plot.

saintlydamemrsturnip · 17/04/2010 15:10

TBH thought she seems to spread her views wide across tinterweb anyway. Maybe the best response is yawn she's clearly beyond help.

Take care Saintly and Pipin.

And another thing we can CHOOSE if we want a pet. However we can't choose wether are kids are disabled or not!!

Goblinchild · 17/04/2010 15:49

As a teacher, the temptation to cull some unsatisfactory members of our community can be quite hard to fight sometimes. Although it's not the disabled that spring to mind.
Agree it's a hate crime.
PipinJo, mine is more of a cave-lurking bear with deep growl and serious teeth.

I have a cat and an over-excitable, mischievous, bad tempered puppy who chews the furniture and brings us our slippers. I still have the scratches from changing the cat's nappy when he's rather chase shiny things around the floor, the other night.

saintlydamemrsturnip · 17/04/2010 16:30

Pipin she can be easily tracked down she's a self publicist -a quick google and you find what she looks like and right wing websites she runs. She isn't trying to hide what she thinks and presumably her stand up 'comedy' routine is full of right wing rantings.

I wouldn't bother though tbh- she is just someone with very odd views who is not worth wasting energy on.

It's actually helpful to know she is real and not a troll. However unpleasant she is. I don't find people who say this stuff publically threatening really. Just rather dull.

PipinJo, he used to have problems with 'Bearhunt' when he was little. I'd read it, he'd be having fun and then suddenly he'd panic and yell 'Be a Mummy again' I'd catch his hand before he belted me.
Now he's 15, he reads it to his little cousins and loves being the bear.
But I think this dreadful female might bring out the less cuddly side of him.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 17/04/2010 18:01

i don't think Ann was attacking, just saying it's best to ignore the troll/ignorant bigot and not give her any attention, as that's what he/she/it wants.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 17/04/2010 18:01

but Ann already said that herself earlier I see!

Goblinchild · 17/04/2010 18:32

But I prefer to stand up to bullies and thugs, a personal choice perhaps. It prevents others being able to say 'Well, no one minded.'

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good wo/men do nothing

pagwatch · 17/04/2010 18:35

I agree Goblin.
I am finding all the 'IGNORE THE TROLL' postings on the main board quite irritating.

i would rather not ignore. I would rather point out calmly that in my considered opinion she is a vile twat.

In fact I shall have to go back and say so

Goblinchild · 17/04/2010 18:36

Hold on, I'm coming with you. Even though my Aspie is yelling that Dr Who is about to start.

pagwatch · 17/04/2010 18:52

I posted. You should post after Dr Who.
Some things are more important....

Goblinchild · 17/04/2010 18:54

Going now!

devientenigma · 17/04/2010 18:54

Hey Pipin, my ds is also strong....loves bearhunt and gruffalo. How uncanny are you to predict things like that. Does others also like youve been framed and enjoy seeing and making people get hurt??

saintlydamemrsturnip · 17/04/2010 19:14

I don;t want to ignore someone who publically spouts this stuff. I want to challenge it.

Have posted a link to this group btw- campaigning against the word retard. They are making headway and progress is being made because it's not being ignored. You may already know about the group- I think I found it via MN.
