Have read a few of your recent posts and am interested in your progress re ds. I have a ds in Y5 who has a myriad of dx - short term memory problems, auditory processing, social/communication issues, hypermobility. The OT has now recommended he be assessed for dyslexia. Like you, we are in the middle of looking for a suitable secondary school. We have his name down for an independent school but I am not convinced their Learning Support dept can accomodate ds. If not, we will need a Statement in order to try and secure a place in an over-subscribed school with a good SN provision. We are in Bournemouth so near to Hants. Let me know how you are getting on.
