I have dd1's parents evening on monday and i know dd1's teacher will ask me questions about dd2 starting in September (she's the SENCO), as far as they know dd2 will be starting in September and they are going to arrange 1:1 for her. Anyway we change our minds a few weeks ago and have applied for a place at SN school, dd2 might not get a place and we have to wait until 25th May for it to go to panel. Theres also a huge chance we will be moving and taking dd1 out in the next few months. Do i let them know that we have applied for a place at the SN school? Dd's portage worker has told me not to mention it but i don't like lying.

Do not tell the MS school there is no point. They will relax about putting the provision in place and the SN place may not happen or you may change your mind again. It's not about lying as you don't have any other option available at the moment.

No, just say that you'd rather discuss DD2's needs at another time.

You said yourself she may well be there in september so I wouldn't say anything that would give them an excuse to not have the relevant support in place. It's not lying, you're just not giving them the full picture Fingers crossed she gets her place.
