DS aged 2.10 actually communicated something, he was still in his fleecy sleep-suit but he had dropped a tiny toy down it which had worked its way down to the foot and was hurting him.

DH was the one to suggest what might have happened, but DS was saying, "hurt, hurt" and raising his foot to me.

I wish he'd realise that it's worth communicating more often. Last week he was inconsolably distraught because we forgot to take him to the pet shop to see the fish. He can say "fish" but because of his condition he couldn't tell us. I was in tears when I realised

I hope he'll remember that he had a result from the attempt and do it again.

Thank you very much, all. It's great, it really is. It seems like such a small thing but it really is big.

Cheers
