LEA office and annual review

I phoned the Case work officer (someone taken over case work officer due to long term sick...whom I have never spoken too either).

I asked her about Annual review and she was shrugging it saying what annual review?

Anyway asked her is she attending...she replied 'why am I needed?'!! I need a case work officer their as want changes to statement (extra provision) so need her to feed back to panel.

Dont know what to do now!

They rarely attend here and there is no real need to - the Head or SENCO should minute the meeting and make formal recommendations to the LA who will accept them or not and amend the Statement accordingly. HTH

Our LIO generally attends transition reviews and if there is a push for more support so would expect her there if there is a need for more provision or a change to the statement.
