Morning Everyone,
Did I catch the MN lady on GMTV this morning saying Ed Balls was going to be discussing the help and benefits avaliable for SN children. We have 2 severely Autistic boys with other medical conditions (and a baby girl who is fine!) and both my husband and I have now had to give up work to full time care for them. We are breadline living despite all the wonderful help from the NHS, the goverment support is appalling. I would love the chance to grill Mr Balls!
Does anyone know or feel the same???

Did anyone manage to talk to him on netmums?

helpforautism, we have 2 dd's one with Aspergers and one with autism, i gave up work just over a year ago and dh works part time. I am also angry with the lack of help to families with sn children, although we receive DLA for both dd's we receive very little help for the dd's (no restbite or home help). We struggle to make ends meet and dh struggles to fit work around helping me with the dd's. It makes me angry that you can only ger carers allowance for 1 child (even though i car for 2 sn children).
