as you all know my ds has ASD and last review we had paed noticed his foot really turned in when walking i had noticed this before too but thought i was finding more things wrong

anyway after really long wait anyway paed contacted ot and within weeks after 2 yrs of waiting anyway we have a visit at 5 he did have dodgy hip as baby not sure if maybe this is what it is but does anyone else have children maybe with ASD with similar problem or could it be unrelated just worrying a bit now sitting here waiting he complains that it hurts when he walks and he says trips over his foot when he runs had 4 falls in one week at school

just needed to write it down as no one here to talk to at moment

Hiya
My dd's feet turn in when she gets tired. It is something we've been told to watch out for long term as she has very hypermobile hips and low tone in her trunk. OT will help I'm sure. If he is suddenly complaining of pain then maybe something else causing it though?

Hope you have some good advice from OT

May be worth taking him to the GP if he is complaining of pain? Hope the Physio appt comes through quickly.

I think you need to see someone from podiatry rather than OT or Physio....two of my children have feet that turn inwards. They both have inserts for their shoes to correct this, and Piedro boots for stability. They both have Hypermobility Syndrome, which gives them lots of pain. If you have an appointment with physio soon, they can refer you, or the GP.

Sorry, I meant lots of pain in their ankles and feet, caused by the turning, and in turn it causes extra pain in their knees and in DD1 back pain too.
