i have been to neuro for my self dh said i had a few funny doos ,i e going sort of blank stopping doing some thing in middle of , tbh it as caused loads of arguments as i don't recall any of them anyway neuro said he thinks they are complex partial seizure . i had a scan waiting results, but anyway i was on phone walking through my kitchen last week when i fell i only know as just before i hit the ground , to late to put my hands down and fell really hard, so hard i am still very sore, dh was not there but came running when he heard the clash, bang, he said i screamed after i fell not falling! could this be the same as before complex partial seizure ? am a bit worried and refusing to drive any where, dh says as he didnt see it he carnt say, does dh phone neuro or wait to see if it happens again?

No advice really. But thinking of you as you are going through a tough time. DD has complex partial seizures but is unable to walk or talk so her experience wouldn't be able to help you. Sorry. Hope the neuro can give you the help you need.

I always thought that complex partials involved you being still kind of "with it" but then either switching off or doing other things you're not aware of like plucking at clothes, pulling your face etc.

Poor you, as if you don't have enough on your plate. How are your two? We're still having a really rough time with W - he is now showing signs of nasty epilepsy syndrome which I won't bring myself to type Just been in for video telemetry which coincided with him going back into a non convulsive status again (he has been in and out since Jan) Finally, someone listened to us and they used an IV drug to bring him out of it - we've been suggesting that since 4th Jan as it worked so well last year! Starting Keto diet in May so fingers crossed.

Sorry, me me me moan over! Hope you get to the bottom of all your funny doos (that's what we call W's as well!!!!)

Oh bloody hell Trace! This doesn't seem fair at all

You need a break - you all do. When I win the lottery, you'll be on my list, I promise

I hope you get to the bottom of it and you are OK xx

Are these absence seizures? Dd1 is being investigated for these this month - epilespy nurse coming tomorrow, epilepsy clinic in 2 weeks, eeg being booked.
Dd1 wanders off during hers, but will sometimes just stop what she's doing for a few seconds. She falls down quite a lot, but i've been putting that down to being 6. She has however told me she once fell over in a daydream (as she calls it).
Anyone clear on difference between absence/complex partial? Is it the length of time you are having a doo?
