Ds 4 ASD is heavily into inset puzzles at the moment and its really help him learn so I want to cash in on his interest and get one to help him learn colours. I have looked everywhere but cant find what Im looking for so the only thing I can think of is getting one made. I have looked on line but I cant find someone that makes inset type puzzles. can someone point me in the right direction?

We get a lot of things from here. It was recommended by the OT.

could you make one on compter and then upload to somewhere like photobox and get them to do it? or do you mean peg puzzles?

give fledglings a shout. They're pretty good at pointing you towards stuff and also sometimes can offer bespoke solutions (someone I know got a toddler style wooden trike for their much older ds specially made for them)

helpline is 0845 458 1124

You could contact [email protected] - He makes custom made wooden puzzles.

I'm looking for the peg puzzle type. Thanks for your suggestions I will definitely get in touch with them both.

stary, what is it you are looking for. I mean what do you want that is different form colour based peg puzzles you've seen?

I've come across a LOT of them when I was chasing around for dd1 (also had an obsession with them!).

In fact, not so long ago I was discussing with dh whether it would be doable to make up a generic frame, and pieces where you could slot inter-changable pictures in, as dd1 was learning so well form playing with them that I could not keep up with the different types she wanted/needed!

I'll have a dig around in my old links, but a quick description of what you're after would narrow it down
