Dd2 (ASD) lost her voice 4 days ago due to a virus, she's whispering when she wants something and gets her point across and enjoys the attention she gets from whispering in our ears (seems to think its great fun) but i'm worried that she will get used to whispering and will carry it on even when her throat is better (do you think this could happen? or am i being paranoid?). I really don't want her to go backwards with her speech because of a virus.

Its a really tricky one, did the doctors say how long her voice would take to come back? Do you think she should be speaking normally by now or in less of a whisper?

If you're really worried, maybe discourage the whispering in the ears as she ight get too used to it.

Hope she gets her voice back soon.

Doctor said its a virus and her voice should return in a day or two. She does try and screech but she just squeaks and then coughs. Today is the 5th day with the whispering.

Poor thing, her throat must be quite sore. Will she have and ice lolly? Might ease it a bit for her to speak.
